OOT possibly getting shut down

Looks like I jumped ship at just the right time:

http://forums.wwiionline.com/forums/topic/425555-discussion-avoid-forums-becoming-obsolete/

The forums don't have the same value they used to, there's a reason for that, and it comes down to the culture and conduct within here.

I’ve never heard of this game or forum before, but wasn’t it always fairly negative? I mean, there were lots of laughs and stuff, but people were always bitching. Just like this broken forum.

How do we make sure not too many squishies come here? Could we build a big firewall and have OOT pay for it?

OOT's problems seem like LOT's virtues:

  • NEGATIVITY

  • MINIMAL-NO PROACTIVE DIALOGUE

  • TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT TO PEERS

  • WE'VE ALL BEEN HERE AWHILE

We should put those on the front page

We have productive dialog. You must not have read my thread suggesting we slash burn Maryland and make it a productive agricultural region.

Is Maryland’s soil even worth keeping?

What exactly is a minimal no-proactive dialogue?

My point 2(c) involved scraping the polluted topsoil and moving it to a place I call "Mount D.C."

They had to do this in Los Alamos.

I discussed the option of turning Maryland into the next Trinity site in point 5, to slash burn quickly so that the Marylanders don't escape.

In Los Alamos it was not only the actual trinity site (which is very far) but the whole town. Took the top few feet of soil off and carried it away somewhere.

Yeah, I remember reading about that. They didn't know much about radioactivity in those days. If I remember right, one of the scientists died when he removed the core from the outer part after it had slipped too far in and was irradiating a whole room full of people.

I think they were dumbasses. Don't you know when something is glowing in a bright yellow-green colour and making bzzzzz sound it cannot be safe?!

Don't get all dramatic. The flu kills more people every year than radioactivity.

I think we need a war to distract us from this virus thing. UN is stupid for wishing for a global seize fire.

I have a solution for them.

automatic upvotes. everytime someone makes a post, the everyone else in the thread automatically upvotes it via some kind of server software. it will all be equal for everyone, and involuntary, so it will fit in perfect with that commie forum!
