Nuremberg (2026)
I watched Nuremberg a couple of evenings ago.
If you like that sort of movie, it was pretty good.
Casting a bulked-up (fat) Russel Crowe as Hermann Göering was inspired I thought, but casting Rami Malek as Irish American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley was borderline ridiculous.
Malek is a good actor and his acting was adequate, but although Malek was born in the US, he identifies as Egyptian American and possibly American Egyptian and he looks like King Tut without the headdress. In no way can he pass for an Irish-looking American and a bit of a drinker at that.
But if you can get past Malek as Kelley, the film does a good job portraying Göering as a narcissist who can almost convince himself that he can convince anyone that he never was antisemitic and not responsible for all the evil of the Holocaust.
The psychiatrist suffers a bit from Stockholm syndrome, but I won't spoil the finale for everyone by letting you all know that Göering dies in the end.
Whoops!

Fair Point.

I saw it
I know how it happened.
I seldom start threads, but I started this one and the "right" one and I grabbed the wrong thread with the Alfred E. Newman icon.
I'm not fully senile yet. ;-)
