What happened to Covid-19?
We are over populated anyway. Let everyone catch it and the strong will survive.

CNN...fake news!
@silkysaidin@silkyDo you want a world populated by people with resistance to a particular virus? Sounds to me a pretty shitty way of differentiating the wheat from the chaff
I'm pretty sure that if they are surviving, they are already resistant to everything else as well. Evolution is a strong theory.
unposible how can it be on the rise when people when people are gargling with bleach!

Respondents reported engaging in a range of practices during the previous month with the intent of preventing SARS-CoV-2 transmission (Figure 2). Sixty percent of respondents reported more frequent home cleaning or disinfection compared with that in preceding months. Thirty-nine percent reported intentionally engaging in at least one high-risk practice not recommended by CDC for prevention of SARS-CoV-2 transmission (2), including application of bleach to food items (e.g., fruits and vegetables) (19%); use of household cleaning and disinfectant products on hands or skin (18%); misting the body with a cleaning or disinfectant spray (10%); inhalation of vapors from household cleaners or disinfectants (6%); and drinking or gargling diluted bleach solutions, soapy water, and other cleaning and disinfectant solutions (4% each).

I think this is them trying to kill us off again. Everyone knows soap and bleach is the only way to stop coronavirus so why am I supposed to stop drinking it?!
My old roommate in college told me a story once about another Turkish guy he knew in graduate school. The guy had just finished defending his PhD and was all excited to get that over with so he decided to treat himself to a blow job. He found some cheap hooker and did the deed, but afterward started worrying about AIDS. So to prevent a horrible death he found some Chlorox or some other household cleaner and washed his dick off with it. So then one of the most embarrassing moments of his life was when he had to explain to the female emergency room doctor who was treating the chemical burns the logic of his decision.

Please stay home and hunker down in fear and never leave

@Zeppelinsaidin@ZeppelinPlease stay home and hunker down in fear and never leave
It's not a matter of fear . . .
I was talking to my brother John about this subject. He lives in Virginia and a few weeks ago spent 3 weeks in the Ft. Myers area. He too has a different experience when compared with others who are in hot spots. John mentioned to me that he did not see anyone in the Ft. Myers area wearing face masks - even while dining inside. Everything seems to be open down there.
The population of New York is 19.5 million The population of Florida is 21.5 million
Florida has had only about 2,500 Covid-19 deaths New York has had over 32,000 deaths, all but 7,500 in the NYC and adjacent areas and nearby New Jersey has had 12,000 Covid-19 related deaths.
What is my point?
So far, you can be a fucking jerk in Florida and possibly probably not get the disease.
In other places, the risk is much greater.
The UK, for example, has a population of 66 1/2 million and the death total there is 40,000. They have to be careful as well, but that entire region has had fewer deaths than NY and NJ combined where our total combined population is 28 million.
Perspective. It's a good thing to have.
Jesus

Covid was soooo first quarter. We’re onto tyranny and destruction. Keep up.
Hasn't Covid-19, if measured over just the last 2 months, gone from like number 29 on the "cause of death" chart (worldwide) to number 2 now ? I saw something that alluded to this, on an April - June 2020 specific timeline. Just curious, not venturing a theory or opinion. Fuck that. We have enough of those floating around.
WHO has this data for leading causes of death.
To get to number 2 it would have to reach a death toll of 5 million per year to push out strokes which is 400K a month. I only know the total Covid death toll which is 400K and I don't know how many were in April to June. But if they extrapolate the growth rate out based on the rise over that period it could probably happen within a year. It's not certain that it will continue to rise at that rate and, in any case, we're not there yet.
