HALP!! Monitor is fubar

So I just went to turn on my PC and noticed I wasn’t getting any picture. My first instinct was to turn the monitor’s power off and back on. That’s when I noticed that the power button (or any of the On-Screen Display buttons) would not respond to any input.

The monitor has an LED indicator light at the bottom right. The indicator will display a white light while in operation, an orange light when powered on but not receiving a signal, and no light at all when powered off. At the moment, this light is constantly displaying a kind of pinkish light. Pressing the power button on the monitor does nothing.

The monitor is an ASUS PA248Q.

In addition, there was a power outage this morning, but the monitor is plugged into a power strip so I don’t know if that is the issue or not.

Any ideas?

I don’t think it has anything to do with the PC. I should at the very least be able to power the monitor on and off and access the menu in the monitor without it being hooked up to a PC.

But it won’t even do that.

I have an BenQ that had that problem. I took the case apart and found the push button broken but the switch still working. I was able to make a new button to fix it.

It actually works. Lob won the LOT Academy of Sciences 2019 Genius Award for his research in this area.

Seriously what kind of problem can't you fix by just wtf chucking it into an oven?

Think I should try to take it to a repair guy and see what he says or is it probably a waste of his oven space?

You could ask Lithu, he has a good electrician, maybe he repairs devices as well.

If you have a rhinoceros you can make a surrealist statue when you take the monitor out of the oven.
